So, marching band started my growing love for music. My sister got me to stick with it my freshman year and I have loved it ever since. Every year we did a new show so, it started with To the Edge, then FIVE, then Pictures in an Exhibition and this year we did Let it Rain. Every year was very different compared to the last and each brought new things to the table. My sophomore year I auditioned and got the solo that started the very beginning of the show and the second part. It was probably one of the most scary moments in my life. I even had to play the second portion in front of a ton of people when we played at the OSU skull session. I also was able to be a squad leader my sophomore year and then the section leader my last two years. Additionally, I was named brass captain for this past band season. Having the responsibilities that came with these positions made me grow as a person and I am super grateful I was able to be put into those positions.
