My Musical Life
Honor Band of America
This honor band was by far the most beneficial of all the honor groups I have been part of. I got to work with amazing conductors, musicians and even composers. The music made in this weekend every year never ceased to amaze me and every year I tried to soak up as much of it as I could. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into this group my sophomore, junior and senior years. My junior and senior year John Mackey was even at some of our rehearsals and worked with us on his pieces, it was really cool to hear what he had to say about his own pieces.
